Made-to-measure service and re-upholstery

We can offer either machine- or hand-finished items, including curtains, pelmets, swags, tails, tiebacks, Roman blinds, cushions, window seats, bedspreads, lampshades and other window dressings and soft furnishings. We have our own workrooms and a network of freelance craftspeople that we use regularly for their specialised skills.

Curtain loan service
If you need something at your windows while curtains or blinds are being made, we can provide temporary curtains.

Re-upholstery
We offer a dedicated re-upholstery service, ‬‎ using either modern and traditional methods. We can also supply custom-made cushion pads and foam. We can collect and return larger items.

‎‪Lampshades
We offer a bespoke fabric lampshade-making service.

Stair ropes
We offer made to measure stair ropes, banister ropes, rope handrails and barrier ropes.

Interior design service
Sometimes it's good to have a little professional help with dressing your window. We can bring a fresh eye to your décor, with lots of exciting, stylish and innovative ideas that will make the most of the best features of your home. We will visit you to discuss your needs and get a feel for your home, your likes and dislikes, and your budget. Then we will create an appropriate scheme proposal and present it to you for discussion and development.

Contract service
The Curtain Shop has over 30 years' experience in supply and installation for commercial and educational establishments and health authorities. Experienced staff members are always on hand to advise about colour and design for large- or small-scale requirements, and to help you meet budgetary restraints.

Flame-retardant fabrics
We supply approved textiles, blinds and voiles with flame-retardant (FR) finishes.

Outdoor fabrics
We can also supply textiles that meet technical requirements for use in garden and marine environments.

Eco-friendly fabrics
Eco fabrics such as bamboo are available, made from sustainable crops.
